Cebu road rage incident

Suspect David Lim Jr., nephew of alleged Cebu drug lord Peter Lim, surrendered to the police last Tuesday, March 21, 2017, after being charged of frustrated homicide and illegal possession of firearms, having shot Ephraim Montalbo Nuñal, a nurse.

In connection to this grievous incident against a fellow nurse, Gov. Marylou B. Ong, Governor of PNA Region VII, gives a statement in behalf of PNA Cebu Chapter:

“Stunned by the recent road rage shooting committed against a fellow nurse, the Philippine Nurses Association (PNA) hereby condemns any form of violence against its members who vowed to serve people by providing quality care. Appeased by the immediate surrender of the suspect who happens to be a member of one of the most prominent families in the country, the PNA commends MAYOR TOMAS OSMEÑA for his outstanding effort and vigilance in the immediate apprehension and hunting down of perpetrators of crimes regardless of political, social, and financial status.”

The victim is still in the hospital recovering after surgical operations.
